Tawna Fisher
I have been a resident of Unity, NH for over 30 years. I am blessed with three wonderful children and am a proud grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter and three very special grandsons. I love traveling and cherish the time spent with my children and grandchildren. Helping others in need is a cause close to my heart. In 2018, my youngest son (grandnephew) came into my life at birth, inspiring me to advocate for the changes that many kinship caregivers need.

Deb Tickel
I live in Deering, New Hampshire, with my partner and my grandson, who joined our family in 2021. A mother of four, stepmother to one, and grandmother to thirteen, I became a kinship caregiver after being granted guardianship of my grandson. NH GrandFamilies has been an invaluable source of support and community, and I am honored to give back by helping other kinship families navigate their journey and build strong, stable futures for the children in their care.

Joyce Griffith
I have lived in Unity my entire life and am proud to call this community home. I have two children and two grandsons, and family is an important part of my life. I have always enjoyed helping others and being there for people when they need support. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, camping, reading, and, most of all, spending time with my family.

Kim Chase
Originally from Rhode Island, I have lived in New Hampshire for over a decade and value the strength of small-town community. I am a mother of two adult children and a grandmother of seven, currently fostering four of my grandchildren. With the support of NH GrandFamilies, I am committed to paying it forward by supporting other families navigating kinship care.

Carol Mercon
I am a devoted grandmother who has spent many years raising my grandchildren. I raised one grandchild for 15 years and am currently raising my 12-year-old granddaughter, whom I have cared for since she was 3. Through my experience, I understand the joys and challenges that grandparents face when stepping into the role of parent. I am honored to serve as a board member of NH Grand Families, and I am passionate about supporting and advocating for grandparents raising their grandchildren. I want other grandparents to know that they are not alone.

A Different Definition for Us ALL
NH Grand Families INC was created to support NH Caregivers raising others biological children.
The state has fallen short of helping family and friends who have stepped up for these children who would have otherwise been put into the foster care system with strangers.

Our mission is to help navigate through the paperwork when they are trying to find the help they need, food to help with the extra mouths to feed, and respite care for the caregivers.

It is so easy to fall into a pattern of apathy as we go through our lives. Our organization was born out of a commitment to stop passing over the real issues of society, and deal with them head on. We have set out to aid those who need it most. NH Grand Families is here to help, and we believe that change is possible when we put our hearts and minds to it.
